"BTAC-B.Tech Action Committee” post the following letter to all concern GOVT Department for Development of B.Tech Engg/ BSc Engg Technology

To,

The Chairman

TEVTA Punjab,

GOVT of the Punjab,

Lahore.

Subject:  DEVELOPMENT OF B.TECH (ENGG)/BSC (TECHNOLOGY) DEGREE AS PER POLICY OF GOVERNMENT.

Dear Sir,

I would like to invite your kind attention towards certain issues, relating to the subject cited above and want to meet your good honor if certain moments, be allowed/spared. The main issues are highlighted. In accordance to the Honorable Chief Minister policy to produce Technical Manpower.

1. GOVT. College of Technology producing 4 years degree of B.Tech (Hons)/B.Tech (Engg)/BSc (Technology) Graduates getting degree from university of engineering and Technology under your kind control.

2. But the controller/staff relates to a class of Engineering Stream (BSc Engineers) therefore they are dominating over technology stream and does not accept B.Tech Graduates.

3. So, the following steps should be seriously considered by your honour:-

  •  A separate university of technology for technical education be established as recommend by Higher Education Commission.
  • M.Tech; Ph.D classes of Technology be started immediately in GOVT. Colleges of Technology/University of Engineering and Technology for B.Tech Graduates.
  • The staff of B.Tech (Hons) degree holders should be posted/appointed to teach the technology students to all level of Technical Education in the light of Chief Minister’s Policy.

Kindly, manage the meeting and inform the time and venue, to solve these issues please.

Regards.

BTAC

Its no doubt that the current Guardians (MSc Enggs & Ph.D.Enggs) are the big enemy of B.Tech Graduates (B.Tech Engg/B.Tech Technologists/BSc Technologists). Is this possible that Doctors Teach the dentists?, because Dentists and Doctors are two different fields but equal in scope and scale same as it is ?Hows this possible that MSc Engineers teach the B.Tech /BSc Tech/M.Tech Engineers because Engineering Sciences & Engineering Technologists are two different fields of Engg education but equal in scope and scale?

but why is not implimentation is done till now?? why not started m.tech or phd for technologist?? its mean govt is fail to impliment his orders to save the future of technologist.... like the govt is the slave of PEC which is not accepting the technologist & also govt is not taking positive step to make technology council.. i am very disharded by our govt in this connection.i request to CM sb to take a quick step for the bright future of technologists...
